Each season I go through my “Saved For Later” section on Amazon and add a few books to my cart. Below are the books I bought for my winter reading list.
Where’d You Go Bernadette By Maria Semple
I already finished this one and loved it. It’s a light and easy read. This is a story of a mother’s disappearance and her daughter’s quest to find her. There is a subplot to the story that I really didn’t like but other than that, it was perfect.
In Order to Live By Yeonmi Park
This is the next one I’m going to read. This book is the story of how a young girl escaped from North Korea. I know it’s not going to be a light hearted book, but I think it’s an important part of current history.
This is the book I am currently reading. If you don’t like history, then you should probably skip this one because it is very history heavy. I love the history of human desire and perception of value and how it has shaped modern economics. Aja Raden makes the history entertaining and touches on stories often overlooked (don’t skip the footnotes some of her wittiest statements are there).
Staying healthy can be a struggle sometimes (for me specifically during the winter). Below are a few simple and manageable lifestyle choices that can help you stay physically healthy throughout the year.
