The Best Holiday Appetizers

The holiday season is here and I want to share my favorite holiday appetizers. I’ve put together this list with serving temperature in mind. If you’re like me, your oven is in high demand on Christmas day, so serving a hot appetizer is not ideal. Maybe you are driving to someone’s house so a room temperature appetizer works best. Or maybe you want something to serve cold. Whatever the situation is, below is a list of the best holiday appetizers for Christmas day or any get together this season.

Bacon Wrapped Dates from 40 Aprons

I love bacon wrapped dates because they are simple and everyone loves them. Dates are easy to stuff (especially when you are reinforcing it with bacon wrapped around) so you can easily add cheese or marcona almonds. These can be cooked in advance then warmed up in the microwave before serving.

Slow Cooker Spinach Artichoke Dip

I love this recipe because it’s an appetizer that you can serve hot without using your oven. I also feel that spinach artichoke dip is a great appetizer for most common Christmas meals.

Antipasto Skewers

I love a charcuterie and cheese board but sometimes it doesn’t make sense for a large crowd, and these antipasto skewers are the perfect alternative. You also just can’t go wrong with antipasto skewers, I don’t know anyone that wouldn’t like them.

Pine Cone Cheese Ball

I’ve come across a few pine cone cheese ball recipes, and I particularly like this one because it has goat cheese in it. It can be time consuming to place all the almonds on it but it can be made a day or two in advance.
