2. Ugg Slippers I ordered these in the sale and they are the perfect slipper.  They are easy to slip on, cozy, and soft.

3. Nordstrom Blanket I now have two of these blankets.  They wash well, they hold up for years, they are incredibly soft and luxurious feeling.  Even paying full price for this is a great deal, it’s amazing quality.

4. Tory Burch Sneakers I’m not a sneaker girl, but these have convinced me to wear sneakers and that says a lot. They will look good with almost every casual outfit and they are comfortable.

5. Leith Cardigan I bought a variation of this cardigan in the sale last year and I still love it.  I get compliments on it every time I wear it.

6. Steve Madden Flats These are my favorite flats.  They are perfect for office wear or just out running errands.  They are comfortable and the nude is the perfect color. Make sure you protect them with Suede Protector.

7. Hanky Panky Regular Rise Thong THE WORLDS MOST COMFORTABLE THONG.  These hold up well when washing and drying.  I buy them every year in the sale.

8. Vince Camuto Bootie I bought a similar pair in the sale last year and I get so much use out of them.  They look great with jeans and almost every sweater.  Make sure you get no show socks to wear with them.

9. Tory Burch Wallet Another item I bought in the sale last year…This is a perfect wallet.  It can fit everything!  When I say everything I really mean it, it fits cards, checks, a pen, cash, and even a phone.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is almost here!  If you are unfamiliar with the sale, you might be wondering what all the hype is about.  Most sales only include items from the previous season that the store is trying to sell before bringing in the new season items. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is unique in that upcoming season items go on sale upon releasing them.  Basically you can get new Fall and Winter items on sale as soon as they are launched in stores and online.  Once the sale is over, those items go up to full price for the rest of the season.  If you are looking to revamp your Fall/Winter wardrobe, or if you need to do back to school shopping, it’s wise to shop the sale.

Also know as the NSale, the sale is so popular it’s important to prepare for it. Below are some details about the sale and tips to help you shop and prepare for the sale.

The 1st thing you need to know about the sale is that if you have a Nordstrom Card, you can shop the sale early.  The date you specifically can shop the sale is determined by your card level.  You can find out your card level by logging into your account on Nordstrom, and selecting “Nordy Club” on the left sidebar.

To make shopping the sale less stressful and impulsive, I suggest creating a wish-list.

• What items in your Fall/Winter wardrobe need to be replaced?
• What items do you wear the most?
• What items did you want last year but didn’t buy?

I know this might sound crazy, but sometimes I will even start doing Christmas shopping during the sale.  Seems to early? Nordstrom has one of the best return policies out there, just make sure to get gift receipts.

Be prepared for website issues.  I love Nordstrom, but I hate their website.  Every year their website crashes during the sale so be patient. I imagine this year, with everything going on with the pandemic, even more people will opt to shop the sale online rather than in store. If you choose to shop in stores, be prepared to following social distancing guidelines.  At the time of writing this post, Nordstrom has not announced how they will handle in store shopping.  Social distancing guidelines will likely vary from store to store.

Since quarantine I have started painting my own nails again, and I fell in love with ombré nails all over again.  There are several methods to get ombré nails.  I have tried all of them, and I personally prefer the one below.

The Products You Will Need 

Zoya Base Coat or the base coat of your choice

Essie Sugar Daddy

Essie Around the Bend

butter LONDON Top Coat or the top coat of your choice

Essie Sugar Daddy is a very sheer nail polish, while Essie Around the Bend it a more opaque nail polish with a similar color.  It’s important to use a sheer nail polish and more opaque nail polish with a similar color.

Instructions 

Step 1

Apply base coat.

Step 2 

Using Essie Sugar Daddy, apply a layer of nail polish across the entire nail.

Step 3

Following the example below, apply another coat of Essie Sugar Daddy across the nail but start slightly further down the nail. Repeat this step moving further down the nail with each coat until you reach the tip of the nail.

Step 4

Apply Essie Around the Bend at the very tip of the nail.

 

Step 5

For a more even blend, apply Essie Sugar Daddy over the tip of the nail where you applied Essie Around the Bend. I suggest applying Essie Sugar Daddy immediately after you apply Essie Around the Bend.

Step 6

Apply your top coat.
